ZenCortex Essential Nutrients for Hearing: What the Label Lists
ZenCortex essential nutrients for hearing are not what the label lists. The panel names no vitamin. It prints one trace mineral, chromium at 0.7 mcg, and a 200 mg blend of 22 herb and amino acid lines with no single amounts. No study we found ties any of these to hearing.

The panel01
What nutrients does ZenCortex list on the label?
ZenCortex essential nutrients for hearing is a common search, but the label lists very few nutrients. It names one trace mineral and a blend of herb and amino acid lines.
The Supplement Facts panel is short. Serving size is 1 mL, which is one dropper, and a bottle holds 60 servings. Chromium, as chromium picolinate, is the only line with its own amount. Everything else sits inside one Proprietary Herbal Blend of 200 mg.
| Item | Amount on the label |
|---|---|
| Vitamins | None named |
| Chromium (as chromium picolinate) | 0.7 mcg, 2% of the Daily Value |
| Proprietary Herbal Blend | 200 mg total, 22 named lines |
| Amount of any single blend line | Not printed |
| Caffeine | Not printed |
Key facts
- No vitamin is named on the panel.
- Chromium is the only mineral, at 0.7 mcg a serving.
- The blend has 22 lines and one total of 200 mg.
- The label makes one claim: Supports Healthy Hearing, marked with a dagger.
Essential nutrients02
Are ZenCortex essential nutrients for hearing printed on the label?
We cannot say yes. The label does not call any ingredient essential for hearing, and we found no study that ties its lines to hearing.
The phrase is a search term, not a label claim. The bottle itself says only that it supports healthy hearing, and that statement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
The public health body for hearing research says that vitamins, herbal extracts and other supplements are often advertised for ringing in the ears, but none has been shown to work. That is the standard to hold any label to, including this one.
Chromium is a trace mineral. The NIH sets an Adequate Intake of 25 to 35 mcg a day for adults aged 19 to 50. At 0.7 mcg a serving, ZenCortex holds only a small slice of that, about one fiftieth of the top figure. No study we found links chromium to hearing.

What is in the ZenCortex blend, and what do the lines do?
The blend is a 200 mg total shared by 22 lines. The label gives no amount for any single line.
Most lines are plant extracts, such as maca root, grape seed, guarana, African mango, eleuthero, astragalus, green tea leaf, gymnema, forskohlii, bird pepper, grapefruit seed and Asian ginseng. Others are raspberry ketones and amino acids, including L-glutamine, L-tyrosine, L-arginine, beta-alanine, L-ornithine, L-tryptophan and L-carnitine. The list also has monoammonium glycyrrhizinate and GABA.
US rules let a blend hide its split, but they require the total weight and an order from most to least by weight. If all 22 lines shared the 200 mg evenly, each would hold about 9 mg. That is a thought experiment, not a fact, because the real split is not printed.
Two lines, guarana and green tea extract, carry caffeine. The label prints no caffeine amount. Our ingredients page covers each line in turn.
Vitamins04
Do ZenCortex essential nutrients for hearing include vitamins or minerals?
The evidence we reviewed is thin. We make no claim for a nutrient we did not check.
For zinc, a Cochrane review of three trials with 209 adults found no evidence that oral zinc improves ringing in the ears, and it rated the evidence quality as very low. For B12, folate, magnesium and vitamins A, C and E, we did not fetch an authoritative page, so we say nothing about them. Be wary of any label that does.
It also helps to separate two ideas. Correcting a low level found on a blood test is medical care. Taking extra of something you already have enough of is a guess. Only a test can tell the two apart. Ear wax, infection and medicines come before any vitamin idea. Our post on hearing supplement vitamins goes deeper.
Before you buy05
What should you check before taking ZenCortex?
Check your medicines first. The label says to consult a physician, especially if you take a medicine or have a medical condition.
Chromium can add to the effect of diabetes medicine and may affect how the body absorbs levothyroxine, so tell your doctor or pharmacist if you take either. Keep taking prescribed medicine exactly as directed. The label says not for use under age 18, or for pregnant or nursing mothers, and not to exceed the recommended dose.
The dose is approximately 1 dropper full twice daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional. One bottle lasts 30 days. The packs cost $158 for 2 bottles, $207 for 3 bottles and $294 for 6 bottles, and the seller states a 60-day money-back guarantee. If a person is worried about their hearing, a hearing test with a qualified professional is the right first step.

Our verdict07
Our view
The label is honest about being short. It names no vitamin, one trace mineral and a blend with no single amounts. It does not promise essential nutrients for hearing, and neither do we. Our view is to read the panel, ask a clinician about your medicines, and keep any hearing worry with a hearing test first. The drops are a food supplement, not a hearing aid.

ZenCortex: from $49 a bottleRead the panel on your own bottle, and ask a clinician before you add drops.
