Tinnitus Supplement Treatment: Options to Discuss With a Clinician
Tinnitus supplement treatment is not a proven category. NIDCD says vitamins, herbal extracts and supplements are often advertised for tinnitus, but none has been shown effective. Treating a cause, sound therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy are the options clinicians discuss. A natural label does not change that.

The question01
Is there a tinnitus supplement treatment that works?
No tinnitus supplement treatment has been shown to work. NIDCD says no medicine is made specifically for tinnitus,, though treating a physical cause can reduce or remove it (NIDCD, Tinnitus).
"Natural" is a marketing word, not a test. Natural tinnitus supplement ads often skip that gap. A zinc review found no evidence of benefit (Cochrane, Zinc supplements for tinnitus), and ginkgo research suggests it does not help (NCCIH, Ginkgo).
ZenCortex is a liquid dietary supplement. Its bottle says "Supports Healthy Hearing†", not that it treats ringing, and no trial of it exists.
Clinician-led options02
What tinnitus treatment options are there besides supplements?
The options a clinician can offer are treating a physical cause, sound therapy and behavioral therapy such as CBT. NIDCD names all three.
A cause can be simple, such as an earwax blockage, or tied to a medicine. Hearing aids can also help when hearing loss sits behind the ringing.
| Option | Who leads it | Aim |
|---|---|---|
| Treat a cause | Doctor, ENT | Remove the trigger |
| Sound therapy | Audiologist | Make ringing less noticeable |
| CBT | Trained clinician | Reduce distress |
| Hearing aids | Audiologist | Treat any hearing loss |
| Supplements | None proven | No proven aim |
Worksheet03
What should you bring to a tinnitus appointment?
Bring a one-page worksheet: when the ringing started, which ear, what makes it louder, and every pill and supplement you take.
- Is it one ear or both? One ear needs a prompt visit.
- Does it pulse with your heartbeat? Tell the doctor.
- Which medicines and supplements do you take, with labels?
Ringing in one ear, dizziness, ear pain or drainage needs a clinician soon. Sudden hearing loss in one ear is an emergency (NIDCD, Sudden Deafness).

How much should you spend on a tinnitus supplement trial?
Set a small limit before you start, because no result is promised. The planner prices ZenCortex only, in bottles by month.
You need 3 bottles. At the info page's 3-bottle price that is $207 ($69 a bottle).
Uses the info page's pack prices: $79 a bottle for 2, $69 for 3 and $49 for 6. It prints no price for one bottle, so a 1-month plan is shown against the 2-bottle price and noted as an estimate; totals for other bottle counts use the nearest listed pack price and are estimates too. The checkout shows the final total.
Keep taking prescribed medicine as directed, and show the full label to your pharmacist first. The seller states a 60-day guarantee, but the buyer pays return shipping.

FAQ05
ZenCortex questions people ask
Is a natural tinnitus supplement safer than a drug?
Not by default. NCCIH says natural does not mean safe, and herbs can interact with medicines. A natural tinnitus supplement also has no proven benefit, so the safety question comes with no upside to weigh against it.
Does CBT help tinnitus?
NIDCD lists behavioral therapy such as CBT among the options for tinnitus. It aims at distress and coping rather than silencing the sound. Ask an audiologist or doctor where to find a trained clinician near you.
Should I try a tinnitus supplement before seeing a doctor?
No. See a primary care doctor first, because tinnitus can come from earwax, medicines, hearing loss or other causes that a supplement will not fix. Treating a cause can reduce or remove the ringing.
